Design Associate/Director

Job description / Role

Leading European Design studio with a respected portfolio of landmark projects in the region and globally are looking to attract a Senior Design leader for the Dubai business.

• With a vast international portfolio of buildings in many different sectors, they seek an experienced and enthusiastic person with the ability and drive to design with flair, see projects through and to communicate their vision to clients and to the team.
• Contributing to and expanding the local profile and awareness of the company in the marketplace and in the press collaborating closely with the CEO, Principal, and Business Development Team.
• This professional will have worked in Dubai ideally or on large high end design projects in the region. Experience with client nurturing, business development purpose, bid and tender process will team up with high end design experience.
• Strong client facing skills, and excellent communication will be used in influencing and negotiating skills, with proven experience in building relationships and achieving client satisfaction.
• Working very closely with the studio's Principal, you will help drive the direction of the studio, and perform a strategic as well as a hands-on function from a design and technical perspective, as well helping lead the team in winning work.
• You will be responsible for achieving excellence in design while at all times representing the company and its design philosophy to the highest quality standard. Along with the Principal and senior staff you will ensure consistent high quality of design is generated throughout the office and monitor architectural team output.
• Furthermore you will share responsibility for the direction of the studio with regards to projects, submissions and design competitions.

Requirements

• An excellent career opportunity for a Talented Design Architect with 15 - 20 years experience post graduation with Business Development experience.
• Design flair and excellent client facing skills are key for this role and should be demonstrated in International Design practices in the UAE/GCC or in International markets previously.
