Design Engineer - Moulds - Automotive Industry

Job description / Role

Responsibilities

Responsible for design of all thermoforming or GRP parts and molds required in production of vehicles.

Review the parts designed by D.E for suitability of molding or forming and suggest required changes for parts extraction.

Prepare design of blocks required for machining molds and release 2D and 3D data for manufacturing.

Communicate with all parties involved in the project to validate designed parts in terms of integration on vehicle, including electric, manufacturing, and mounting teams.

In charge of using non-conventional technologies for rapid prototyping such as 3D scanning and 3D printing.

Other engineering-related tasks as instructed by the Engineering Manager and Engineering Director.

Desired candidate profile

• Minimum graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in related field.
• Relevant experience in SolidWorks or similar design software is a must.
