Design & Estimation Engineer (PEB)

Job description / Role

At Guildhall we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design & Estimation Engineer to join our clients team in the UAE. This role is ideal for an ambitious Civil / Structural Engineer with a background in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Hot Rolled Steel Structures, who is eager to contribute to innovative projects and support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate designs, structural analyses, and cost estimates, ensuring projects are executed to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed design and estimation work for **Pre-Engineered and Hot Rolled Steel Buildings** projects.
* Conduct structural analysis using tools such as **MBS, STAAD, and AutoCAD**.
* Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams to clarify requirements and propose optimal design solutions.
* Prepare accurate **BOQs (Bills of Quantities)**, costings, and material take-offs.
* Provide technical support to the sales and project teams during bidding and execution phases.
* Participate in value engineering exercises to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
* Support the preparation of proposals, tenders, and project documentation.
* Work closely with the engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth project handover and execution.
* Ensure all designs and estimations are delivered within deadlines and to the highest quality standards.

* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* 2–3 years of proven experience in the Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) field (UAE experience preferred).
* Strong knowledge of MBS, STAAD, and AutoCAD software is essential.
* Familiarity with international building codes and local UAE standards.
* Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
* Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
* Availability to join within 30 days of selection.

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 8,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
