Job description / Role
International Design consultancy Headquartered in the middle east with a large team based in South Africa are growing their healthcare team. An already thriving sector for this Architecture and Engineering group, they require Design managers who will manage client relationships in the middle east and drive design teams based in the UAE and South Africa.
These Design Manager will be experienced in driving Middle east based, large scale new build hospital/healthcare projects. Client facing from initial design brief stage, communicating the design brief to South African and Dubai based architects, they will ensure that projects are designed and delivered according to design intent throughout the life of the project.
Driving internal design and engineering teams, the Design Managers will be able to problem solve technical and design issues, managing external relationships with consultants and oversee contractor relationships when at construction stage.
Requirements
• With 15-20 years experience post graduation of a Bachelor Degree in Architecture, these individuals will have largescale healthcare experience in the Middle East. Ideally project experience will cover South Africa too, but not a necessity.
• Experience managing projects from design to completion, driving design teams and previous successful client management is required.
• Frequent travel is required between Dubai and South Africa to ensure communication flow on the project is delivered to the design teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation abilities and team management skills required.
