Design Manager - Landscape

Job description / Role

The Design Manager Landscape should be knowledgeable and responsible for the general methods, procedures, policies, able to apply guidelines to specific situations and regulations related to landscape architectural designs and plan of the required project within the company.

• Review, manage the design for all landscape projects of the company.
• Review and make recommendations concerning landscape and design and able to make final decisions about the design of specific project involved.
• Review and check shop drawings for correctness and conformity with approved government regulations, plans and specifications. Also plans, organize and supervise the development and
• Adhere to Annual Budget setforth by the Management by proper planning, cost estimating and monitoring landscape expenses as possible.
• Able to interpret landscape plans, specifications, codes and regulations related to the work.
• To analyze and indicate the best overall cost effective landscape design solution / application for each specific or for all RAKP projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Holder in Architecture / Landscape Architecture or other similar qualification.
• At least 15 years of experience of which 10 years must be of professional experience equivalent to a Landscape Designer or in a position assuming similar responsibilties with a leading organization.
• Able to review Contract Document and administer design consultant contracts by monitoring and evaluating project design development and able to amend contracts when necessary.
• Ability to analyze landscape development plans for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with applicable laws and government regulations. Can also manage the assigned projects according to Quality, Environmental and H&S procedures.
• Know how to prepare complete plans, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, topographical surveys, space utilization studies and analysis.
• Comprehensive experience and know how to in hard and soft landscape design.
• Able to supervise workers who installs and maintains the landscaping of all RAKP projects. Can also lead and manage a team of landscape designers
• Can perform other related tasks / work as assigned.
• Ability to communicate effectively - both verbally and in writing
• MS Office proficient and able to use other softwares such as CAD, GIS, Photoshop, etc.
• Good reasoning and analytical skills
• Awareness of local, national and international environmental policy and planning policy
• Well organised to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
• Ability to maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence related to the work.
• Should have awareness to local, environment, governmental regulation and code.
• Oversees and conducts field inspections prior to finalization of landscape plans and as landscape projects progress to determine compliance with regulations and specifications.
