Development Assistant Intern (Paid)

Job description / Role

A private client is seeking a passionate and aspiring interior designer to assist in the redesign of their home. This is a unique, paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of interior design, ideal for those with a creative vision and keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the client to understand their style preferences and needs
- Assist in planning layouts, color schemes, and decor elements
- Source materials, furniture, and decor items
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and professional interior designers
- Maintain project timelines, task assignments, and progress tracking using ASANA
- Organize project files, budgets, and other details in Excel
- Liaise with the client and designers, demonstrating excellent English communication skills
- Provide general support during all stages of the redesign project

- Familiarity with interior design softwares, ASANA and MS Excel
- Knowledge of current design trends and materials
- Strong visual and spatial awareness
- Basic understanding of budgeting and cost management
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced project environment
- Passion for sustainable and eco-friendly design choices
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a course in interior design or a related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in ASANA and Excel for effective project management
- Strong communication skills with great English proficiency
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Creative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and take direction
- Immediate availability
