Development Director

Job description / Role

Charterhouse are undertaking a search for a UAE Commercial Real Estate Developer, who are looking to hire a Development Director into their Dubai based office, who will join the Project Development and Delivery team.

Reporting Directly to the CEO the role will be Directing the Development department, overseeing project development and delivery, leading project development, design and execution, through to handover across multiple Real Estate projects. This Director will be expected to develop inception to operation of high-end projects, feasibility, viability, design, budgeting, tendering construction and handover, creating the design strategy which includes design briefs guidelines and responsibility matrix. The position will review team structures and ensure the design management scope is clearly transferred to consultants and engineers.

Overseeing the development strategy, this role will require the Director to work closely with the Business Development team to cultivate a vision, which considers program selling propositions, views, building maturity, value, customer profile and operators. In conjunction, the role will entail design management for assigned projects, in compliance with the design guidelines, standards and identity; ensuring product briefs meet allocated budget, coordinate input internally and externally, and factor in risk assessment, cost analysis and legal requirements.

Requirements

The Director role will require an experienced professional, from a leading GCC Commercial Real Estate Developer, combined with a demonstrable track record and aptitude within Project Development and Delivery, across a varied Real Estate portfolio.

The successful candidate will hold exceptional management skills that will see them effectively communicate with all key internal departments and external consultants and contractors.

All applicants will be required to demonstrate a minimum of 15 yeas professional experience, with an extensive knowledge of the GCC / UAE Commercial Real Estate market, its guidelines and regulations, and the challenges it entails.
