As a DevOps Engineer you will:


- Work in a multi-disciplinary team of support, application and network engineers who will be responsible for the implementation of large scale redundant infrastructure
- Implement and support the infrastructure for our most critical big data systems scaling to petabytes of storage and hundreds of terabytes of memory
- Ensure the systems remain highly available while also adaptable to changing requirements. Your key stakeholders will be our development teams, product/project managers and external clients
- Act as a big data infrastructure champion in a multidisciplinary environment using your knowledge of operating systems, high speed networking and operational best practise to ensure service delivery in a rapidly moving environment

Requirements

To bring your dream to life, you'll need:

- Extensive experience Linux/Unix administration along with experience of automation/configuration management using either Puppet or Ansible
- Working understanding of code and scripting e.g. Bash, Python/Ruby), if you had exposure to large scale systems management principles that would be ideal
- Knowledge of Containers (Docker/Kubernetes), basic network design, and 24/7 Operations. (We want our system to be up and always available, downtime is not an option)
- Network monitoring systems for analytics capacity planning and troubleshooting.
- Great people skills, you like working with people and seek opportunities to share knowledge.
- Production experience of distributed computing and storage. Eg.CEPH, Openstack, GlusterFS, Elasticsearch and Cloudera administration
