Our newest opportunity is for a Digital Archives Manager, to join our award-winning team based in Abu Dhabi. The Digital Archives Manager will be responsible for a range of duties including digital materials, creating archives and metadata records as well as initiating and maintaining storage, preservation, organization, description and access to these materials.

Responsibilities

Paramount to success within this varied role will include;

- To manage KEO's entire digital retrieval library which is virtual and consists of every digital record of our projects including photos, renderings, project controls and ICG's.
- To manage, maintain and store all relevant documents to create an accessible graphic representation of all KEO projects from historical to future.
- Cataloguing the library, organizing its structure, managing uploads, correctly identifying and categorizing project digital material and working with divisions to create their own divisional records.
- Designing and managing digital collections by establishing the metadata schema, controlled vocabularies, and exercising quality control of the software, equipment and metadata records.
- Creating policies and procedures for managing born-digital materials for storage, preservation, organization, description, and access.
- Providing access to archival collections by compiling finding aids, creating collection-level records or metadata descriptions and maintaining a database on collections and storage space allocation.

Requirements

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envisage that you will bring a minimum of 10 years' experience from a similar professional position as a Digital Archives Manager experienced within a similar industry covering Architecture, Engineering or Planning partnered with a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a relevant discipline.

- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organisation, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities.
- The ability to work hands-on, independently and within a team in fast-paced work environment.
- The ability to solve problems and provide excellent customer service in exigent circumstances.
- An excellent understanding of Digital Archiving within large corporate environments.
- Technically sound with exceptional software related skills including Media Valet or similar archival software.
