Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are looking for a mid-level .net developer with cloud experience and Autodesk products developing experience. You would develop, create, and support software applications for BIM that successfully meet the evolving business needs of the global Atkins firm. The ideal candidate will have a knack for designing and customizing software for multiple business units with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. You will analyse and design applications for BIM products within a specific area, working individually and coordinate development as part of a team. Additionally, you will possess excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to implement enterprise and open-source solutions in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

- Develop reusable code
- Collaborate with developers, designers, systems administrators, and customers
- Develop prototype and quality mock-ups for review
- Implement new technologies in development for future deployment
- Applying improvements to existing applications and integrations
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfers and mentorship to peers
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify performance tuning opportunities
- Develop and manage internal relationships with digital leadership teams, business managers, and business units as well as external relationships with IT vendors and industry peers to deliver best-in-class applications and solutions for BIM purposes
- Demonstrated ability to assess, adopt, and operationalize new Digital technologies
- Contribute to the entire application lifecycle
- Elaborate mobile-based and web-based features
- Troubleshoot and fix application bugs
- Detect and fulfill front-end and back-end requirements

Requirements

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering)
- 3+ years of experience in BIM software application development and integration
- 5+ years of working with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Sketchup (or knowledge of Bentley, ArchiCAD, SoliWorks products, Synchro Pro) is mandatory
- Significant hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud-based platforms
- Working with computational design and the ability to create work flows using Dynamo
- Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS (frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation)
- Libraries like jQuery and use of AJAX
- JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, React, and NodeJS
- API design and development, RESTful service development, and CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete)
- Hands-on expertise using .NET/C# to implement secure web services and APIs
- Excellent experience with SQL coding, performance tuning on stored procedures/functions, indexing, and ad-hoc queries
- Server-side languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, and .Net and associated Fameworks
- Database technologies like MS SQL, and MongoDB
- Web server technologies like Node.js, Apache, IIS, etc
- Great teamwork, analytical, and problem solving
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent problem-solving and self-direction skills
- Familiarity with SCRUM or Agile software development methodologies
- Ability to context-switch between multiple projects, codebases, and concepts with ease
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Prepare ad hoc queries reports for both technical and business teams
