Job description / Role
The main role is to support policy advocacy functions and activities with a focus on digital topics which contribute to creating a favorable business environment in line with the firm’s vision and strategic objectives.
• Research and propose new advocacy initiatives with a focus on digital topics (e.g. blockchain, 5G, IP).
• Collaborate with Legal Counsels on drafting studies for advocacy topics defined in the annual plan.
• Engage in advocacy discussions and provide technical context and implications to relevant internal departments and the government.
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
• Prepare departmental/ sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet firm’s requirements, policies and quality standards.
• Other relevant tasks of the job purpose when, and if required.
Requirements
• Degree in Computer science, Computer engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in relevant field
• Demonstrated technical knowledge about trending digital topics; International perspective is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to support legal experts with policy discussions and drafting
• Prior experience in digital advocacy, digital start-ups, or digital consulting
• Excellent communication skills
• Native-Arabic speaker
