Diplomatic Lawyer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diplomatic Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working with embassies, consulates, and the diplomatic sector, handling legal matters pertaining to international relations, diplomatic protocols, and governmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and services related to diplomatic affairs, including treaties, international agreements, and embassy/consulate protocols.
- Represent clients in matters involving diplomatic immunity, consular relations, and cross-border legal issues.
- Liaise with government agencies, embassies, and consulates to ensure compliance with international and domestic laws.
- Draft and review legal documents, including diplomatic agreements, contracts, and memoranda of understanding.
- Advise on issues related to foreign diplomatic law, international trade law, and consular functions.
- Work closely with foreign governments and international organizations to resolve legal disputes and address compliance issues.

- Must have prior experience in the diplomatic sector, specifically with embassies and consulates.
- Proven track record of working on international legal matters and understanding diplomatic protocols.
- Strong knowledge of international law, foreign relations, and the legal frameworks governing embassies and consular operations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with foreign governments and diplomatic staff.
- Law degree from an accredited institution, with membership in a recognized legal body.
- Fluency in [languages relevant to the diplomatic sector] is a plus.

Important Note:
- We are specifically looking for candidates with direct experience working with or within embassies or consulates. Candidates without this specialized background will not be considered for this role.

Salary:
AED 25,000 to 35,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
