Director Key Accounts

Job description / Role

• In line with 5X5 Corporate Strategy, provide leadership to influence revenue growth to c. 1 billion AED per year by 2027 from 5 out of top 10 key accounts
• Build industry understanding to build KA strategies to offer differentiated customer value proposition and achieve excellence in customer satisfaction
• Build strategic perspective and planning, and shared vision for the key accounts with the clusters to achieve exponential revenue growth targets
• Owner of Abu Dhabi Ports Group’s (ADPG) relationship with senior leadership of 5 out of 10 key accounts (KA)
• Influence cluster leadership teams to collaborate for development of integrated supply chain solutions for KA leveraging cross cluster synergies
• Transition the KA into Global accounts with ADPG’s growing international footprint expansion to service KA across various geographical clusters
• Serve as primary point of contact for senior leadership internally with cluster leaders, corporate functions and externally with customers
People Management Responsibilities:
• Liaise with Cluster leadership and engage, coordinate and drive internal teams to ensure key accounts needs are met and projects and initiatives are professionally executed
• Set clear goals and expectations for the key accounts team, provide training and development opportunities to help them improve their skills and hold the accountable for their performance.
Strategic Responsibilities:
• Foster an industry understanding to build strategies that offer differentiated customer value proposition and achieve excellence in customer satisfaction.
• Act as a strategic advisor on market practices and ensure to answer key accounts needs as per AD Ports Group policies and regulations.

• Educational skills
• Graduate from leading universities in UAE or globally (Engineering or science background preferred)
• Postgraduate in business administration preferred

• Professional skills
• Proven Senior key account or business development professional
• Strategic mindset and commercial acumen
• English (Arabic is added advantage)
• 18-20+ years’ experience in supply chain management or logistics with leading companies
• Exposure and network in the upstream oil & gas sector in UAE is an advantage
