Director of Advancement

Job description / Role

ACS has an immediate opening for a Director of Advancement for the 2018/2019 school year. The new director will provide strategic management and leadership in the areas of advancement, communications, and alumni relations aligned with and advancing the school's mission and strategic priorities. He/she will also be responsible for the school's internal and external institutional communications, planning and overseeing special events, and alumni relations. He/she will set strategic priorities for the school's fundraising programs, gift and giving campaigns, and grant writing related to those programs.

Requirements

Qualified applicants must have a university degree (master's preferred) in marketing, communications or business administration. A minimum of 5 years of prior experience as an advancement professional, as well as knowledge and experience with private resource development (annual, capital and events fundraising) in an educational environment or non-profit organization are required. Candidates must be native English speakers with excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational and managerial skills, and the ability to work as part of a professional team of teachers, administrators and other school stakeholders.
