Our newest opportunity is for a highly experienced and talented Director of Construction Management / Construction Supervision Services to join our award-winning team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE .
This position is responsible for multiple teams and projects across the allocated region, overseeing all of the construction management, construction supervision and quality management within the Division. They will play an instrumental role in winning new projects and developing new business contacts as well as harnessing existing client relationships.
The position will provide strategic leadership and direction to the CM/CS project teams, consultants and contractors, during the construction planning, development and delivery phases of the projects. Ensuring leadership at all times, for the project delivery strategy, planning, administration, cost and construction management, with absolute priority for the delivery of the highest quality consultancy service to the clients.
Responsibilities
We envisage success in this role to include;
- Develop a cohesive strategy for the growth of the PCM/CS Service Division
- Business development & opportunity creation, tendering and work winning, with the dual objectives of significantly increasing Divisional market share year on year within each country in the area of geographic coverage
- Oversees the development and implementation of the project management plan (PMP), communication and control procedures and systems of the various CM/CS teams
- Reviews the development and maintenance of project specific risk management plans
- Manage preparation of progress reports for clients and senior management
- Identify and resolve issues, including management, technical or administrative, to ensure that the project objectives are achieved
- Demonstrable track record of managing multiple teams and projects and an excellent record of delivery for clients
- Proven business development aptitude taking the lead on bids / proposals and client development
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with clients, external consultants and staff at all levels
- Self-reliant and autonomous with strong leadership, people and management skills and business acumen
Requirements
Qualifications
- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include minimum 20 years' experience and successful track record managing design and construction of major projects and / or business units partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or similar and membership of Professional Engineering or Construction Management society.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (mandatory). Arabic would also be an advantage.
