Job description / Role

Reporting to: Deputy CEO (DCEO)

Job Objective:
The role of Director of Corporate Services (DCS) is to direct the Human Resources, Administration, Information Technology, and/or Contracts and Purchasing functions in line with the company's strategic objectives. The key mission for the "DCS" is to ensure providing continuous quality support services to the Organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct all the support functions of the company to help the various business units in providing the right resources.
• Develop & direct the implementation of proper HR/IT/Contracts & Procurement & Administrative strategies.
• Direct the development & implementation of policies & procedures related to HR/IT/Administrative & Contracts & Procurement.
• Oversee the analysis & studies related to HR & IT development in the market & the company.
• Report periodically to the DCEO on the performance of the support divisions.
• Ensure maximum leverage of available technology resources. Also ensure existence of effective technology risk management function.
• Manage the quality of support services & ensure providing proper support to all the divisions consistently.
• Oversee the selection, negotiation & contracting with external vendors & consultants that provide products/services to the company.
• Develop alliances with external vendors & consultants for support services.
• Ensure effective utilization & availability of resources & continuously strive to optimize those resources.
• Recruit key Managers & ensure that talented/qualified individuals are hired,nurtured,motivated & fairly compensated based on performance.
• Ensure existence of contingency plans for all support functions.
• Direct development of security policies & ensure compliance.
• Monitor the division budget & take necessary corrective actions to address variances.
• Provide timely feedback on the performance of the staff reporting & counsels them on how to enhance their performance.
• Escalate to the DCEO any unresolved issues
• Encourage & regulate internal & external communication & create a collaborative working environment.
• Any other duties as assigned by Top Management.

Requirements

• Masters or Bachelors Degree in business administration or any other similar qualification - specialized in HR, IT, Procurement etc.
• At least 15 years of experience of which 7 years must be in a position assuming similar responsibilities with a leading organization, preferably from real estate/civil engineering industry (Real Estate developer/Civil Construction company)
• Awareness of the local and regional HR legal, labour market, FIDIC, IT environment and the UAE/GCC work culture.
• Capacity to work with diverse teams.
• Oversees all functions including all commercial function viz Contract, Purchase and management of IT.
