Job description / Role
NTS Group are working with a leading hospitality client who are now seeking a Director of Engineering in an exciting and challenging position. Reporting to the CEO, the engineering director is responsible for general admission of the engineering department including the maintenance and repair of all buildings, fixtures, fittings and equipment as technical improvements, preventive maintenance and utilities consumption control. The role will be responsible for planning, designing and implementing minor projects, improving the plant efficiency and reducing other operating and maintenance costs.
The director of engineering will supervise project implementations, coordinate with other departments, head up the training for the department and oversee the scheduling of all engineering staff. Furthermore, the role will involve monitoring performance of all engineering staff, documents staff performance and plan/direct the training sessions for the department. The position will be responsible for all planning, monitoring and appraising within the department as well as playing an active role in developing the division’s budget based on analysis, core forecasts and approvals. This is a pre opening position which can offer exciting career development opportunities within the group for the correct individual.
Requirements
To be successful, you will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience already in a director or senior manager role with solid pre-opening experience. You will understand the luxury hospitality industry and have strong experience working within the Middle East region.
