Job Description
The Director of Marketing - Ciel & Marina Cluster is a strategic leader responsible for driving revenue and brand growth through the development and execution of innovative marketing campaigns. Leading the creation and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with their hotel's overall business objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, a proven track record of success, and the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives and revenue goals.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and optimize distribution channels.
- Create and implement distribution strategies to maximize online revenue and profitability across all hotel properties.
Brand Management and Development
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all channels and touchpoints.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines for all hotel properties.
- Partner with pre-opening teams to successfully launch new properties and ensure seamless brand integration.
Distribution Marketing
- Develop and execute a comprehensive distribution strategy encompassing digital/website marketing, OTAs, GDS, and other relevant channels.
- Optimize channel performance through data analysis, channel partner collaboration, and strategic marketing initiatives.
- Drive online bookings and revenue growth by maximizing market penetration and customer acquisition.
- Leverage digital marketing tools (SEO, SEM, social media, email) to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement across all distribution platforms.
Public Relations and Communications
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners.
- Develop and execute effective public relations campaigns to enhance brand reputation and visibility.
- Manage crisis communications and maintain a positive brand image.
Content Strategy and Creation
- Develop and implement a content strategy aligned with brand messaging and target audience.
- Create engaging content across various channels, including website, social media, and email.
- Collaborate with creative teams to produce high-quality visual and written content.
Customer Experience and Loyalty
- Drive customer-centric initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Develop loyalty programs and initiatives to increase customer retention.
Analytics and Performance Measurement
- Utilize data analytics to measure marketing performance and ROI.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Team Leadership and Development
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Budget Management and Financial Planning
- Develop and manage the marketing budget to optimize ROI.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure budget adherence.
- Prepare and maintain annual marketing plans with clear objectives and budgets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven track record of successful marketing campaign development and execution.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, SEO, and analytics.
- Creative and strategic thinker who can analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, typically office-based but may require travel for events and meetings.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or attend events.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Vice President of Marketing, depending on the organizational structure.
- Directly supervises the marina cluster marketing team, including managers, coordinators, and interns.
