Director of Technical Services - MEP

The MEP Director will be integral to the success of our Hub growth plans, driving the direction of our MEP design strategy for all new build, conversion, renovation hotel projects within Accor.

Summary of Responsibilities:

- Responsibilities include reviewing and commenting on technical documentation submitted by others for new-build and renovation projects across all brands and sectors in the IMEAT Region (India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey) for compliance with the relevant Accor Technical Brand standards, international best practices, latest design initiatives and prevailing Codes for the respective brand.
- The scope of review will include the following disciplines: Site Utilities, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm and Suppression, Fire and Life Safety, Lighting, Audio-visual, Acoustics, Kitchen, Laundry and Waste equipment and general back-of-house planning. Expertise in IT systems is not required, except as related to Guest Technology and GRMS systems and integration.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Educated at an advanced degree level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years' international experience in hospitality MEP design.
- Have extensive experience working on the Consultancy side designing some or all MEP and ELV systems for luxury and premium hotel projects in the region.
- Comprehensive understanding of hotel and resort operations is a benefit.
- An eye for detail, good analytical skills and be capable of making sound business decisions.
- Highly organized, hands on team player with good communication and negotiation skills
- Strong working knowledge of relevant software.
- Ability to travel extensively as required
- Fluent in English (Additionally Arabic is desired)
- Good time management and multi-tasking is essential.
