Purpose

Director of project services required to enable the successful delivery of location projects through efficient management direction, continuous improvement in capability and career progression, and training. Responsible for project controls, estimating and supply chain functions.

General

• Provides HSE leadership. Responsible for compliance with corporate HSE management systems of direct reports.
• Overall delivery of the project services functional areas to support successful business outcomes, project delivery and development of our people.
• Responsible for implementation of initiatives related to project services functions, including project services, estimating, scheduling, procurement and contracts for the location.

Leadership & People Management

• Leads project controls, estimating, scheduling, and supply chain.
• Responsible for identifying and hiring project services resources.
• Responsible for workforce planning of the existing team.
• Responsible for the development, training and mentorship of the project services personnel.
• Accountable for compliance with Worley corporate project controls, estimating and procurement policies by all staff across UAE.
• Fosters and promotes networks of professionals supporting project services across the region.
• Promotes and facilitates use of GID services to support projects.

Customer/Project

• Responsible for the performance of project services teams within UAE.
• Accountable for the successful delivery of project controls services supplied by GID.
• Supports resolution of customer concerns and project execution.
• Supports resourcing of projects and assists with multi-service line coordination of key project delivery resources. Final resourcing decisions rest with the project manager or project owner.
• Supports the sales and operations teams with project execution strategies, including home office and GID requirements, based on customer requirements, technical skill and financial considerations for the project controls functions.

Financial

• Responsible for the utilization (i.e. Billability) of project services resources.
• Responsible for overhead spending (i.e. initiatives related to project controls functions) to meet or beat budgets.
• Responsible for reporting on project and business performance and recommending strategies for growth and optimization.

Business Development

• Supports sales team and seller-doers on key/strategic pursuits and proposals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have relevant years experience in project controls, estimating or supply chain.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Willing and able to travel as the role requires.
