Director – Urban Design & Master Planning
DUBAI
We are looking for an experienced, strategically-minded and results-driven urban design/master planning practitioner, with an accomplished international background in the conceptualization, communication, management and development of complex urban problems at large scale.
Responsibilities:
• Develop solutions that effectively address the social, legal, and economic implications of the physical form; modify and/ or review drawings, construction documentation and detailing
• Provide project or task management to develop urban design and planning concepts and translate them into clear and compelling graphic images
• Prepare bids and proposals as part of marketing efforts to current clientele and to identify and attract new clientele.
• Providing project leadership, direction and business development in planning and urban design, together with project and client management.
• Use knowledge of New Urbanism principals, as they can be flexibly applied to existing operating facilities, and planning theory as it relates to the redevelopment of commercial/ retail development to research recent, similar planning and architectural projects in order to provide up-to-date ideas to Management.
• Independently manage project largely involving master planning/ urban design work; provide assistance to senior team members in managing large projects
Requirements
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or Professional degree in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, planning or similar discipline.
• Excellent design, drawing and report writing skills in Urban Design and Master Planning.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience as a master planner / urban designer working on a variety of projects involving multiple disciplines
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite software packages is a must;
