Job description / Role
A Leading Shipping Company is urgently hiring experience Credit Controller to take care of its financial functions, primarily the Hub Payments to Agents and Funds Requests to Principals.
Checking of Disbursement Accounts received at the Hub for assigned Customers.
Purpose: To ensure that customer credit exposures are kept within agreed limits in accordance with credit policy.
• Regular monitoring and reconciliation of Hub bank accounts
• Monthly closing of accounts in Hub system
• Preparation of Weekly Funds Request to Principals
• Checking & verification of DA’s for assigned Principals in line with Principal requirements and internal procedures
• Assisting in maintaining Hub Accounts and data entry of FDAs/Payments/Receipts in Hub Accounting systems
• Communicate with Principals & Port Agents for Finance matters
• Gather information required to help investigation and resolution of DA and payments related matters
• Send periodic Statement of Accounts to the Principals and Port Agents within the required timeframes and agreed formats
• Periodical reconciliation of Principals and Agents accounts
• Assisting in invoicing Hub service charges to Principals and Port Agents
• Follow up of outstanding with customers and agents
Requirements
• Candidate with Minimum 2 years worked in Port Agency / Shipping preparing Bank Payments to Port Agents via Net Bank Payment System is a must.
