JOB TITLE: Display Designer – Level Shoes

Reporting to the Display Decoration Supervisor, the Display Decorator is responsible for the co-ordination and management of the production and installations of high quality visual merchandising animations across the store. The Display Decorator is also responsible ensuring a high consistency of standards.

Main Responsibilities

· Assist the Display Design team to research and source elements to enhance concept design.
· Research and composes mood boards to express creative ideas including materials which clearly communicate look and feel.
· Manages providers with the production of in store, window, podium and pop up creative concepts.
· Researches and reviews a network of suppliers and material to work with.
· Ensures project budget is respected - suggests alternatives that do not impact on quality.
· Manages the installations and take down with providers ensuring installation schedules are communicated and adhered to.
· During meetings with all teams (Commercial, Retail, Brand and Communication) ask open questions and understand, filter, decode and reassemble information that is needed to create commercial VM displays for brand and/or store.
· Input with the team to create a full report on concept designs (pictures and comments) to be provided once the event is achieved.
· Demonstrates strong partnership with the Product Placement, Display Designer and store teams.
· Additional tasks might be required, in reasonable alignment with the job role.
· Will deal internally with the whole VM Department, very often with the Retail Marketing Department, and should have fluent communication with the staff in the shop floor.
· He/She will deal externally with suppliers and occasionally with some clients.

Key Expected Accomplishment for first 6-12months
· Give support in creative phase of design.
· Develop technical drawings and specifications for in-store and window display designs.
· Communicate with suppliers and follow up production and installations.
· Develop small scale in-store designs.

Requirements

Education - Certification in an Art or display discipline
Studies in VM / Window design
Must be creative, communicative and a team player
English – Excellent
Previous Experience- 2 -3 years of store decoration experience within a retail environment
