Draughtsman

Responsibilities:

Shop Drawings Preparation:

- Produce detailed shop drawings for interior fit-out projects, including joinery works, cabinetry, fixtures, and finishes.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software to create accurate and comprehensive drawings based on project specifications and design concepts.
- Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers to understand design intent and translate it into precise shop drawings.
- Incorporate technical requirements, material specifications, and construction details into shop drawings to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Revise and update shop drawings as needed to reflect changes, feedback, and approvals throughout the project lifecycle.

As-Built Drawings & Site Visits:

- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and take accurate measurements for the development of as-built drawings.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure that as-built drawings accurately reflect the built environment and any modifications made during construction.
- Document site observations and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and problem-solving.
- Prepare detailed as-built drawings that depict the actual dimensions, materials, and configurations of completed projects.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to verify design intent and resolve discrepancies between original plans and constructed elements.

Requirements:

Skills Required:

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software for architectural drafting and detailing.
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and building codes relevant to interior fit-out projects.
- Ability to interpret architectural and design drawings and translate them into detailed shop drawings and as-built drawings with precision and accuracy.

Communication Skills:

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong documentation skills for recording site observations and communicating findings effectively.

Analytical Skills:

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies between original plans and constructed elements during site visits.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an Architectural Draftsman with expertise in shop drawings, as-built drawings, and site visits for measurement taking.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the fit-out industry or related field is preferred.
