Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Personally interacts with senior cabin crew and VIP catering management to help provide a seamless and timely service delivery
- Uses local knowledge and negotiation skills when trying to fulfil the stretched demands of customers, even at short notice and in doing so works hand in hand with the procurement team.
- Understands the behavioural and performance standards of his direct reports, and takes appropriate and consistent actions that fall in line with Group protocols in relation to training and disciplinary proceedings to encourage relevant improvement
- Acts as the shift standard bearer in regards 5s methodology, and conducts daily audits against agreed standards, and takes corrective actions where required.
- Responsible for all safety audits and inspections, and acts as the standard bearer on the shift in regards safety management.
- Is accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of service delivery for all flights during the shift by monitoring supervisory activities, maintaining the provided KPI’s relating to staff performance

- Accountable for the accuracy of the inventory counts across the shift, where discrepancies may lead to financial loss for Alpha
- Communicating throughout the shift with the kitchen team, the replenishment team and ware wash to ensure a smooth and timely flow of materials and equipment to the flight prep function
- Support and leadership for the operations controllers, cashiers, and replenishment teams when the Administration Support Supervisor is not on duty
- Personal management of all VIP requirements on the shift, from procurement, liaising with the kitchen and sourcing the required goods and equipment, and communication with the client throughout
- Responsible for all daily tool box talks, and capturing all relevant concerns and comments from staff during these processes

Requirements

- Post Graduate/Graduate or equivalent qualification
- High standards of verbal and written communication in English.
- Significant supervisory skills and organization competencies.
- Experience in airline catering supply chain management
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff.
- Ability to conduct multiple parallel process audits, good organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a professional manner with the ability to work under pressure, to meet targets, and achieve results.
- Structured and methodical approach to problem solving
- Good IT skills.
- Knowledge of airline industry standards
- Process Auditing skills.
