Emirates Palace is centrally located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, close to major visitor attractions and the main business areas of the city. Just 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and 90 minutes from Dubai Airport, Emirates Palace is conveniently situated for both leisure and business travelers. Popular tourist sites close to the Emirates Palace include the Grand Mosque and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, both located 20 minutes away. The Marina Mall and major shopping attractions are also within walking distance of the hotel.

E-Commerce Manager

The overall scope of the position is to maintain the hotel website, actively update content, in accordance with the Kempinski Corporate manuals and policies. The selected candidate will take care of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), manage online marketing activities for your hotel through development and monitor the representation of the hotel in social media.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure accuracy of the content featured on the property's as well as third party websites where the hotel distributes inventory.
- Establish relationships with corporate and regional offices.
- Report and act upon the Kempinski website statistics (key performance indicators).
- Assist in reaching the targeted website sales and distribution goals.
- Maintain and develop hotel website as a source of bookings/revenue.
- Assist in ensuring that hotel website is correctly distributed in Kempinski.com.
- Ensuring the feed of information to the main web influencer and managing the communication with the blogosphere.
- Contribute to the hotel content for the brand website (Kempinski.com) as required and according to the given deadlines and policies.
- At Kempinski, Talent Development is a management responsibility and consequently an integral and important part of our Managers' daily activities.
- The E-Commerce Manager fulfills their role as a Talent Development Ambassador when:
- They actively support and implement Talent Development initiatives as a part of their daily activities.
- They identify Training talents in their department and throughout the hotels as per below definition* and actively support their career development.
- They support and initiate transfer, cross exposure and task force assignments for their team.
- They personally conduct TTTTs with their team on a regular basis and take personal interest for their talents' development plans.
- They recruit and select potential talent according to the Company's current and future hotel, regional and worldwide needs including conducting interviews for positions in their department and their region.
- Ensure website content is always up to date in all languages available, updated according to the CMS corporate guidelines.
- Liaise with the corporate office for any website enhancements.
- Review and maintain rate and room type descriptions in OWS (e.g. translations, images, etc.) in coordination with the relevant stakeholders.
- Establish, develop and maintain a keyword matrix for the hotel and consider when designing website content.
- Ensure all content (pictures and text) is according to corporate standards.
- Create and implement promotional content for special offers and packages, in coordination with the hotel's Marketing and Revenue Managers.
- Review and amend hotel information available on Kempinski.com.
- Flexibility to assist corporate office on website related tasks.

Requirements

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum of high school, Baccalaureat (Abitur), A-level exam and a Professional Certification (Bachelor, University Degree, Hotel School Diploma).
- Content Management System
- A minimum of 1 year experience in Web & electronic Distribution.
- A proven track record of increasing traffic of a hotel website.
- Experience with web reports.
- Ability to analyze data, make meaningful conclusions and base sound decisions and strategies on these.
- Knowledge of industry-specify terminology such as PPC, SEO, SEM etc.
- Ability to adapt to a frequently changing market environment. Be proactive and able to "think outside of the box".
