Role Summary:
The Early Career Traineeship is an investment in young talents where GE trains fresh graduates who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a GE business. The traineeship duration varies upon business requirement and will develop the general skills of the trainee and provide on the job knowledge and technical experience.

Essential Responsibilities:
The software placement will provide students and graduates hands-on experience, to develop codes, to manage projects, to drive IT operations, and collaborate in agile software development. The placement will be 1 year long. The perfect candidate will be passionate about technology, software development, and business process.

- Ability to work in a team. Ability to effectively communicate and document agile delivery in Rally, including sprints, tasks, features, user stories, QA processes, customers sigh-off and feedback
- Ability to develop codes and implement into testing and production environments.
- Conduct and coordinate daily stand-up coordination & action tracking
- Ability to design and manage sprint roll out.
- Engagement with the functional partners to understand process gaps and needs and define implementation plans and execute.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:
During the traineeship, GE will provide assignments, projects & tasks that are related to his/her major where the trainee can develop their Leadership Capabilities, communication skills and introduce them to the work environment.
- BS degree in computer science, or in STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
- Academic GPA 3.0 and above, out of 4 scale
- Strong knowledge in database design
- Strong Analytics skills
- Strong coding skills in front-end technologies such as Javascript, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, Polymer
- Good knowledge in user interface design
- Fluent in English and Arabic (essential).

Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in competing in Hackathons and software development competitions
- Strong object-oriented programming (Java, C++, or Python)
