eCommerce Buying Manager - Level Shoes

What you'll be doing

Our eComm Buying Manager is responsible for selecting and buying brands/products that will be sold on Level Shoes' online platforms. She/he will have a strong network within the luxury brand industry as well as a good familiarity with the eCommerce and Buying world internationally.

- Drive the sourcing, development, and selection of products in line with eComm strategy and plan
- Drive online product strategy through partnership with the rest of the Buying team
- Cultivate effective partnerships with external brands that support long term goals
- Work with cross-functional partners to develop marketing content for Ecommerce products and categories
- Liaise with other departments communicating the orders, product information and brand awareness
- Work in tandem with planners, analyzing past sales figures and current trends
- Develop vendor reporting process to keep management up to date on vendor activities
- Analyze business performance and present strategic next steps to the leadership team
- Attend market meetings, shows or other vendor engagements as required
- Monitor the market and identify new trends and commercial opportunity for the business
- Prepare product and supporting information for product sign offs
- Develop an online merchandise strategy in collaboration with marketing and online merchandising team
- Work with eComm team to ensure proper flow of product to websites/App in support of the brand vision
- Manage a complex portfolio of brands
- Demonstrate creative drive & talent in planning, selecting & buying product.
- Utilize knowledge & expertise to bring in innovative new merchandise, new concepts & potentially exclusive product to attract new customers & grow sales.
- Subject matter expert on Ecommerce buying and filtering to all departments

Requirements

What you'll need to succeed

- Minimum 5-6 years' experience within buying, and 4 years ecommerce specific experience
- Solid experience in product selection, buying, inventory, vendor negotiating, and business writing
- Deep understanding of Ecommerce processes, retail planning, key performance metrics
- Excellent network within the luxury lifestyle brand industry
- Demonstrate advanced industry wide product knowledge, both regionally and internationally
- Strong understanding of international fashion trends and online landscape
- Commercial knowledge and acumen
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Ability to create, develop & execute ecommerce strategic initiatives
- Excellent communication skills; strong presenter to senior management
- Great attention to detail, Entrepreneurial spirit and a Team player
