The role

As our eCommerce Director, you will be responsible for leading and developing the brand's online commercial presence in the region then further globally. The key objectives would be to define the trade and operational strategy of eCommerce while maximizing performance and profitability.

What you'll be doing

- Define and develop the online vision and strategic direction across the GCC to dominate the market and then further expand globally
- Bring in relevant partnerships across different areas (content, marketing, merchandising, etc) to promote innovation and get ahead of the competition
- Create and maintain the yearly strategic plan and the yearly budgets in accordance to the vision and mission and monitor implementation, ensuring consistent brand sense of purpose
- Develop and conduct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and standards to improve efficiency
- Negotiate brand partner relationships to grow the online brand portfolio for B2C and B2B (ex: Farfetch)
- Instill a data mindset within the team and create synergies across all functions
- Trade: Define trade commercial strategy and adapt it accordingly, bringing in the necessary pares when relevant
- Own long-term and short-term trade strategy and objectives of the E-commerce business
- Reject the sales and marketing goals of the brand while owning the sales, inventory, Profit and Loss (P&L) Structure and lead the weekly trade meetings with all functions to review key metrics on the website
- Operations: Monitor user and customer experience and push to improve the website's technical structure, design, content, navigation, branding, performance and functionality to positively impact the business
- Oversee and analyze eCommerce KPIs to identify growth / optimization opportunities
- Ensure operational excellence by building processes and defining SLAs with the Tech, customer care, warehouse, fulfillment and last mile teams to ensure a seamless experience to the customer
- People: Recruit, lead, inspire and develop a team with key roles to grow the brand's online ambitions
- Assign individual objectives for employee performance management purposes, manage performance, empower teams and provide feedback Ensure identification and proper development and recognition of talent within team
