Ecommerce - Transport Manager

Job description / Role

Client, a Multinational FMCG/ Retail organisation is looking for a Transport Manager responsible for the Ecommerce wing of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
* Making sure packages/Shipments are moved to destinations in lowest cost and in limited time manner
* Create a safe working environment for employees by adhering to HSE Guidelines.
* Manage and supervise activities of team leaders with their teams to ensure that they are hands-on in order to promote hard-work for successful deliveries to meet clients' demands and deadlines
* Ensuring employees adhere to company leadership principles to Deliver Great Customer Experience
* Providing training for team leaders and teams as operations requirements.
* Working out Man power capacity required for operating all regions in U.A.E.
* Managing effective shift rosters with flexibility to support operations at all-time vs low cost.
* Making sure smooth execution of work as per Operating plan and putting on system of operations
* Project Management for company facilities and side tasks
* Help in recruiting competent and hardworking workers to carryout daily operations at the organization and put them through in discharging their duties
* Assign different responsibilities to workers to fasten the job and promote specialization and accountability.
* Being a role model in a multi-cultural employee's teams and departments.
* Ensuring a both professional and harmonious working atmosphere amongst all employees
* Support Line Manager / Human Resources and Training department on all aspects of Operations.

Requirements

* A minimum 5+ years of experience in the managing deliveries and transportation
* Must have experience in the Ecommerce sector / last mile operation
* Should be very customer oriented
* Education in Supply Chain or Logistics Management
* Must be an advanced excel user
