Job description / Role
• Contribute to the development of strategies and approaches to promote regional cooperation and integration and support the implementation of company strategy.
• Conduct economic research and provide support for the analytical base for strategic policy and operational agenda.
• Contribute to the preparation and dissemination of research outputs and publications, including flagship publications.
• Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Perform complex research data analysis
• Analyze data and to create meaningful insights
• Sort and identify patterns and clusters of facts with the use of data analytical software
• Create and develop methodologies for analyzing existing data
• Analyze research at a strategic level to influence future investment and development across the region.
• Review economic and other analytical work programs in close collaboration with Group Management and task teams responsible for local and regional programs to ensure consistency with strategic objectives, and prepare policy reports and articles.
• 5 or more years experience
• Bachelor degree in Economics or related field
• Applicants with considerably more experience, including mid-career, are also strongly encouraged.
• Strong background in statistics methodology, applications to business problems, and/or big data.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.
• Strong research track record.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Professional MS Office Skills
• Excellent Communications Skills and good interpersonal relations
• Excellent Presentation Skills Prepared charts and tables for analysis and presentations.
• Monitored current regional events to identify emerging economic trends and issues.
• Analyzed economic factors to determine relationships between regional trends and growth potential of various markets and business developments.
• Generate meaningful reports to present findings to both internal and external parties with the use of different data visualization techniques
• Assist in data cleansing and mining
Requirements
• 5 or more years experience
