Job description / Role
Our client, an International Company, requires an Editorial Coordinator to join their Dubai based team. Covering the UAE and reporting to the Regional Manager/Director, the primary purpose of the role is to create and coordinate editorial content and to support team members written reports, relating to reviews for the food/restaurant/hospitality related sector.
Responsibilities
Ensure quality of the local language content delivered on various platforms and publications (print/digital/media)
• Translation of text from foreign languages Arabic / English /French.
• Digital hub interface
• Print publication original content and / or sponsored content
• Provide support to central PR and Communication Teams
Ensure regular update of data and information through the year to team members
• Use emailing, telephone, database checking to update information from clients and teams
• Assist central team in completing necessary content / information of clients
• Market Intelligence – regular screening trends from local press and the web
• Administration support to team members
• Contact point for incoming telephone calls and emails from clients
Build, update and deliver editorial plan for Digital Media Content for Company platforms (Web, App and Social Media)
• Build up the editorial calendar and ensure production / sourcing accordingly
• Produce / outsource reports on clients
• Write and / or edit articles / videos in Arabic and English
• Feed social media networks, build community management plan
• Support and contribute to B2Pro and B2C CRM: newsletters and campaigns
• Follow and optimize KPI’s
Requirements
Education: Masters Degree in Publishing, Journalism, Communication, Literature / Language Studies
Qualifications – Essential
• Arabic and English Language written and spoken, Content Management System database competency
Qualifications – Desirable
• Planning, Publishing processes (print and digital)
Work Experience
• In Editorial, Publishing, Journalism or Communication fields
Skills – Essential
• Adaptability, Communication, Team Work, Client Focus
