Job description / Role
On behalf of our client a Dubai based oil and gas company we are looking to recruit a Electrical and Electronic Engineer-Onshore Oil and Gas. Reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation Lead you will be responsible for providing technical support including testing, troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure a safe, cost effective and reliable operation of the offshore production electrical, electronic, instrumentation and control system. Provide electrical equipment and systems support including power generation, power distribution, UPS equipment, swithcgear, motor variable speed drive, protection relay, transformer and the associated control system. Electronic, instrumentation and control system includes DCS fire and gas sysyem, IPF filed instrumentation, control valves, metering system, equipment controls and protection system.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be degree educated in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, have 10 years experience in electrical and electronic maintenance and be knowledgeable in offshore production operations and maintenance of equipment, experience of electrical and electronic equipment installation in hazardous areas, be familiar with Relay Logic, PLC, Emergency Shut down systems and DCS, working knowledge and experience in offshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications, standards and practices including but not limited to API/NFPA and ISA codes.
