Job description / Role
FlexiCAM, a leading German manufacturer of standard and custom-built CNC machinery is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (EPLAN) for its operation in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates:
Responsibilities:
• Design of machine electrical panel through EPLAN software;
• Develop electrical schematic for each machine order;
• Create bill of material (BOM) for the electrical aspect of machine, in accordance with the production order;
• Select appropriate components (controller, spindles and drives, servo motors and drives as well as all other electrical accessories to be used in the machine) in accordance with the production order;
• Provide assistance in each step of machine manufacturing related to electrical;
• Provide assistance in trouble shooting of electrical problems;
• Maintain proper documentation of machine records and history for each dispatched machine.
Requirements
• Sound knowledge in EPLAN is required;
• Hands-on experience in CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc), PLC and motion control is preferred;
• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering;
• Fluent in oral and written English;
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP).
