Electrical Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our civil engineering and construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for civil engineering projects in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during the construction phase to ensure electrical installations meet design specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project plans.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve electrical issues promptly to avoid project delays.
- Ensure all electrical projects adhere to health and safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Participate in procurement processes by recommending electrical materials and equipment.
- Keep abreast of the latest electrical engineering trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to civil construction.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to guarantee timely delivery and quality of electrical components.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; professional certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within civil engineering or construction projects, preferably in the UAE or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance in construction contexts.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations in the UAE.
- Proficient in using CAD software and electrical design tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel as required by project needs.
