Electrical Engineer FPSO FSO FLNG

Job description / Role

Responsibilities:

Support procurement of electrical packages: technical bid evaluations, vendor documents review (during bid phase and during fabrication follow-up).
Comment and validate documentation issued by engineering contractor.
Attend FAT/SAT.
Support during construction and precommissioning. Address site queries.
Assist for site commissioning and startup as required.

Requirements:

Graduate engineer (ideally electrical engineering).
English speaking. French will be highly appreciated.
Minimum 8 years experience.

Required experience:

• Experience in marine/retrofit (FSO/FPSO).
• Experience with E-House including HVAC.
• Experience in oil & gas either for an engineering company or for an EPC contractor.
• Experience in the follow-up of vendors for electrical equipment (HV & LV switchgears, transformers, UPS, bulk items) and E-House.
• Experience in construction follow-up.
• Experience in precommissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting is a strong plus.
• Able to execute and check calculation notes (with ETAP software or equivalent) for cable sizing, short circuit, motor starting.
• Team player, proactive, good problem solving and analytical skills.
  Excellent written and presentation skills.

Position based in Dubai for about 2 years with missions in Gabon at the end of the project for site commissioning activities.

Electrical engineering, lighting design, system design, firmware, NEC, LabView, PCB, CAD, FPGA, AutoCAD, programmable logic controllers, Revit.
