Electrical Project Engineer

Job description / Role

The candidate shall have proven experience with DEWA or equivalent utility authorities in the Middle East (e.g., EtihadWE, KSA, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, etc). and shall be responsible for ensuring full compliance with authority requirements, specifications, and approved project documentation. The candidate must have direct and hands-on experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of the following systems: 132kV GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), 132/11kV Power Transformers, 11kV Switchgear, Capacitor Bank, LVAC System, associated Control, Protection, SCMS, Telecom and cabling Systems.

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience.

Strong understanding of:
• Authority specifications and standards
• Approved IFC/RFC drawings
• Method Statements and Risk Assessments
• Authority ITPs, inspection checklists, and clearance procedures

Technical & Functional Competency
• Proven capability in supervising installation, alignment, and interface coordination of primary and secondary substation equipment
• Experience in installation of protection system, SCMS integration, control wiring, and telecom interfaces
• Ability to coordinate with OEMs, testing & commissioning teams, and authority inspectors
• Familiar with site safety regulations, quality control procedures, and documentation control
• Strong coordination skills to work with civil, MEP, and commissioning teams to identify and resolve installation issues proactively

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
