Electrical Technician

Job description / Role

Job Summary:
The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment used in the production process. This role ensures the proper functioning of all electrical components, machinery, and control systems, minimizing downtime and supporting the efficient and safe manufacturing of rubber belts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Setup of Electrical Systems
- Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Control Systems and Automation
- Safety Compliance
- Electrical Inspections
- Documentation and Reporting
- Work closely with mechanical technicians, production staff, and engineers to ensure smooth operations of both electrical and mechanical systems in the manufacturing process.
- Suggest improvements to electrical systems to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, or extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Provide emergency electrical support in the event of breakdowns or failures during production, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing schedules.
- Respond to electrical system failures promptly to restore production lines to full capacity.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical or vocational qualification in electrical engineering or electrical systems is preferred.

Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or support within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industries like rubber, automotive, or heavy manufacturing.
- Experience working with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial control systems is highly beneficial.

Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, motors, transformers, control panels, and sensors.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in machinery and systems.
- Familiarity with automation systems, including PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Competency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and circuit testers.

Salary:
AED 3,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
