Electrical Technician

Job description / Role

Job Purpose:
• We’re seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to bring hands-on expertise in electrical maintenance and repairs. This role ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards while maintaining system reliability to support plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, including:
• Motors
• Switchgear & Circuit Breakers
• Transformers
• UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies)
• Temporary Power Systems
• Protection Relays
• IPB (Bus Ducts)
• Batteries
• Excitation/Rectifier Systems
• Inverters
• Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical issues.
• Follow outage and shutdown plans to ensure seamless operations during critical periods.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and test results.
• Prepare resources, tools, and materials for assigned tasks.
• Collaborate to uphold health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in power plants or nuclear facilities.
• Proven track record in outages/shutdowns and troubleshooting critical systems.
• Familiarity with industrial safety protocols, work permits, and regulatory standards.

Skills & Competencies:
• Expertise with electrical tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
• Capable of working under pressure while maintaining precision and safety.
• Proficient in maintaining detailed records and following precise instructions.
