Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Provide emergency medicine services to patients presenting to the Accident and Emergency Department based on the current best evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times and in accordance with the Hospital medical staff bylaws and rules and regulations.

Responsible for compliance to the ethical and professional standards set by the hospital and regulatory authorities.
Participate equitably in the roster.
Work cohesively with the other professional staff involved in the care of patients and their families.
When required, ensure patient care or treatment is delegated to a suitable qualified and experienced individual with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide the care or treatment involved.
Carry out other assigned duties within the appropriate scope of knowledge, skills and abilities of the position.

Requirements

Basic Medical Degree recognized by Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
Certification or a diploma in Emergency Medicine is desirable.
Minimum three (3) years experience in Accident and Emergency department in a private hospital setting.
Must be skilled in dealing with adult as well as paediatric patients.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff.
High level of interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to work cohesively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team is expected of this role.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential (Arabic language skills will be an advantage)
Proficiency is electronic medical record system is required.
