Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to Senior Manager of Employability and Alumni Relations. The purpose of the role is to foster a sense of pride and loyalty amongst current alumni and postgraduate students, while establishing and promoting activities and events within the university and externally through corporate partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishes communication linkages with alumni and postgraduates through programs and events, an alumni portal, newsletters, and other promotional methods
- Creates meaningful and impactful opportunities for alumni and postgraduate students to recognize and embrace the value of their ADU experience
- Plans and implements various programs and activities to encourage alumni and postgraduate student connections amongst themselves and the university
- Facilitates and promotes the professional development of alumni and postgraduate students through corporate networks, employer meet-ups and other employability related activities
- Engages undergraduate students in alumni related activities, to foster a sense of identity and pride amongst undergraduates, and to build alumni loyalty by encouraging further involvement with the university
- Establishes relationships and partnerships with postgraduate students, to understand their unique needs and provide programs and services aligned with their personal and professional preferences
- Plans, coordinates, and executes monthly Alumni Board meetings to increase alumni engagement and promote alumni activities and events
- Creates, develops and maintains a postgraduate student council, to address the personal and professional needs of current students
- Develops, maintains and analyzes reports, alumni records/databases, and programs and events, to ensure continuous satisfaction and engagement of postgraduate students and alumni in all ADU relevant experiences
- Collaborates with the Community Relations Department to identify and establish partnership and sponsorship opportunities to support and promote alumni and postgraduate student initiatives

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in any relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in a higher education setting; employability and alumni relations experience preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with professional and ethical standards
- Proficiency to meet strict deadlines and handle high pressure situations
- Detail oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks
- Strong IT and communication skills, to maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Motivated, flexible and driven to work independently to achieve institutional goals and stakeholder expectations
- Demonstrated multicultural competencies, to work effectively with constituents from diverse backgrounds
- English is a must, Arabic is preferred
