Employment: Full Time

An internationally recognized company within the maritime industry, this client has global offices in 13 countries, ISO accreditations and are members of several industry associations. It is a well-established organisation who are now seeking to recruit a HR Manager for their Dubai location.

- This is an exceptionally hands-on and employee focused role with a great deal of diversity as the company goes above and beyond to assist their employees with any issues including personal, performance and day-to-day general queries.
- The role will report to the Senior HR Manager who sits in the UK and you will work very closely together to ensure staff remain happy and committed to the organisation.
- Whilst this is a long-standing and fantastic employer, due to the nature of this industry you will be expected to manage challenging situations such as language and cultural barriers and attendance issues.
- On occasion you will also be required to assist employees in stressful personal circumstances and the company prides itself in supporting their teams’ way beyond a normal working environment.
- Part of this busy role will also include educating the senior teams from COO level upwards in how to manage such situations and create strong relationships to foster a positive working environment for all involved.
- Alongside the complete HR employee life cycle, you will also assist with the maintenance and updating of policies and procedures in line with the regional requirements and be supported by a HR Administrator who manages onboarding, PRO activities and acts as the first point of contact for the 70 employees in Dubai.

Requirements

- Candidates wishing to apply for this role should come from a similar shipping, logistics or industrial environment within a similar hands-on role.
- The ideal candidate must have strong emotional intelligence, problem solving capabilities and place employee wellbeing at the forefront of their minds every day.
- Championing support and an open-door policy on behalf of the HR department, you will possess an unflappable crisis management approach and collaborate with a highly diverse workforce of both a skilled and unskilled workforce.
- This position requires a robust attitude to get the best from those around you and will in return provide a stable environment and opportunity to work exceptionally collaboratively.
- It is expected that those selected for interview will have a minimum of 2 -3 years of UAE HR experience and have obtained (or be working towards) a CIPD qualification.
