Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a growing energy business who is looking to hire a Director of Sustainability and Energy Efficiency. You will design the market growth strategy through researching and assessing market opportunities and fully develop and implement a plan to enable the business to capitalize on these growth trends within Dubai, UAE and GCC.
You will have ownership of planning and developing the sales strategy and activities consistent with overall business objectives and be responsible for the successful transition of the team to enable the company's growth ambitions. You will also be responsible for the financial performance of the business development team and development of processes and standards for sustainable sales growth and increased market penetration.
You will develop and maintain senior level relationships with (potential) customers and key stakeholders in order to maintain awareness of the local market issues and barriers as well as provide strategic input to the CEO for mid and long term business strategies (5 to 10 years), ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and code of conduct for the team. In addition, you will support the team in the pursuit of securing new projects and actively act as ambassador for the business by delivering speaking engagements at key image building events to generate exposure for the business and its value propositions.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be an Arabic speaker who has previously worked in a senior management energy efficiency role. You should have operated in the UAE market and delivered energy reduction saving initiatives ideas. You should also have previous success in delivering and implementing change in a business whilst also enhancing existing employee skillset.
