Role Summary:

Engineer - Performance & Analytics shall be responsible for on-time configuration & delivery of the SmartSignal predictive analytics models by study of customer asset informations, using SmartSignal blueprints for Tag Mapping, Model building, related Quality checks and successful deployment of the models for the monitoring by managed services team. This role will also require building the thermodynamic performance and analytical models using Bently Nevada software solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Fulfillment and OTD for all the ongoing Project Deliverables by working with customer, project manager and other stakeholders to collect all technical information required for the successful implementation of the project and build SmartSignal predictive analytics model.
- Map customer tags to corresponding tags in a Fleet Build Out Spreadsheet.
- Accurately extrapolate a simple tag description to the corresponding specific sensors on a piece of equipment, using the design inputs (e.g. P&IDs, DCS screen shots, Historian Tag Descriptions, etc..).
- Document tag mapping decisions
- Collaborate with Project Engineer when the Blueprint does not match the data.
- Collaborate with Project Engineer when there are not enough Tag inputs for model building.
- Create new assets using the software
- Import Historical data, troubleshooting any data formatting issues.
- Turn tags and Calculated Variables on/off as dictated by data behavior.
- Apply standard settings for models and tag attributes.
- Apply unit conversions where necessary.
- Modify model data using selection, exclusion, and tag correlation techniques.
- Perform Quality Control procedures and make indicated corrections to assets and models.
- Understand how to assess model / tag quality in Sentinel and identify areas for improvement.
- Make necessary adjustments to model and tag attributes, turn tags on/off.
- Conduct the manual validation or using the specialized tools for quality assurance to ensure model build quality and assign the monitoring threshold limits.
- Deploy asset models for real time monitoring by managed services team.
- Tune the model during operation, as required.
- Conduct internal and external customer training sessions.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- University degree in Engineering.
- 4+ years' experience working with industrial equipment in the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or Mining industries.
- At least 2+ years' of SmartSignal Model Building experience.
- Ability to do independent SmartSignal blueprint tag mapping, model building and completing the QA/QC.
- Able to manage the project from implementation perspective and provide the administrative support.
- Aptitude for the use of complex software applications, abstract concepts, use of data.
- Competent user of Excel, including filtering and searching.
- Able to read P&IDs.
- Ability to handle many projects concurrently.
- Ability to efficiently work with remote teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
