Job description / Role
The Manager - Academic Services is responsible for the day-to-day management of all academic activities on campus. They will be responsible for ensuring that all resources, facilities, and staff levels are sufficient for the effective delivery of National Qualifications. The Manager - Academic Services will be accountable for ensuring that all academic curriculum, timetables, teaching materials, delivery resources, assessments and other related academic delivery requirements are available.
The Manager - Academic Services is responsible for developing extra-curricular activities that enrich the learners experience including competitions, career clubs, social enterprise, and other student-centered activities. They will also be responsible for managing and coordinating all student council meetings on campus.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Master's degree in engineering or other vocational program area - required
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science/Education
Experienced required
• 10 years of teaching experience
• 5 years in Academic Supervisory Position
• Learning paradigm and project-based learning
• Technologies that support educational development in line with current technological developments
Skills required
• Curriculum delivery, teaching methods, and class observation
• instructional methods and training techniques
• Curriculum design principles and learning theory
• Group and individual teaching techniques
• Design of individual development plans
• Test design principles
• Professional presentation of documents that upholds the quality and reputation of the Institute
• Problem Solving and Decision Making Computer literacy
