Engineering Manager

Job description / Role

• Lead and manage the engineering team involved in construction projects.
• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of construction engineering activities.
• Review and approve technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables align with project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Coordinate between architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve design or technical issues.
• Supervise construction methods and practices to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical support to project managers, site engineers, and construction teams.
• Evaluate and implement innovative engineering solutions and construction technologies.
• Prepare progress reports, engineering documentation, and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
• Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies during the construction phase.
• Participate in project budgeting and resource planning from an engineering perspective.

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or PMP certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, design standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, etc.) and project management tools (Primavera, MS Project).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or equivalent certification preferred.

Salary:
AED 20,000 to 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
