Engineering Manager

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the engineering team, including mechanical, electrical, and design engineers.
Oversee engineering projects from conception through execution, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Allocate resources efficiently and manage departmental budgets and timelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, production, product development, and quality assurance.
Establish and enforce engineering best practices, standards, and procedures.
Solve complex technical problems and provide guidance on critical engineering decisions.
Monitor KPIs and project progress, reporting to senior leadership.
Foster innovation and continuous improvement in design, systems, and manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.); master’s degree preferred.
7+ years of engineering experience with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong technical background with a proven track record in project management and team leadership.
Proficiency with engineering tools, CAD software, and project management platforms.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of engineering processes, product lifecycle, and quality systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, electronics, construction, or industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
