Engineering Repair Officer

Job description / Role

Job purpose

To plan, monitor and review progress of repair/overhaul/modification of components at the Repair Agencies in order to ensure the completion of work within the RTAT (repair turn around time) and at minimum cost while providing continuous support to aircraft maintenance requirements.
To manage Technical Records and Modification Control Systems to ensure these systems are kept up-to-date and accurate.

Qualifications & experience

Engineering. Other: 5+ years
12 years schooling or equivalent:
A Level or equivalent with 5 years industry experience in supply chain management, warehouse and logistics, repairs management, material planning/support & inventory control, technical purchasing or any other support services. OR Graduate in Engg/AME Licence with 1 year industry experience as above OR Graduate with 3 years industry experience as above.
Candidates with higher technical education, with less experience may be considered.
Preference will be given to personnel with experience in an airline or third party maintenance base; however, consideration will also be given to candidates with good educational background with experience in above functions from other fields involving high value, technically complex products.
The knowledge of the processes of repairs, reliability, inventory control, material planning, modification control etc., in an Airline/MRO (maintenance & repair organisation) is preferred.
Computer literacy in MS Windows Excel spreadsheets and MS Word processing.
