Enterprise Architect

Job description / Role

Client is looking for Senior Enterprise Architect to lead, define and manage and establish the technology enterprise architect for their group. The role is also responsible for enabling practical alignment and efficient execution between strategy, policy, governance, demand, opportunity and change through Enterprise Architecture, whistle being focused on enabling clearly articulated business outcomes and working at a strategic and tactical level across IT domains, business units, third parties/partners and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities
• Lead, develop and maintain, working with VP IT Planning & Projects and IT management, the EA strategy to achieve a sustained competency, capability and technical center of excellence within
• Define, working with VP IT Planning & Projects and IT management the governing EA guiding principles and standards to develop, and maintain an EA Charter integral to the overall IT strategy of the Group.

Functional Responsibilities
• Developing the EA Strategy and Policy
• Identify, articulate and drive clear business outcomes related to EA initiatives, direction and process.
• Drive adherence to EA technical standards and leading practice (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman).
• Define, maintain and execute a sustainable and comprehensive roadmap for EA and governance.
• Establish and lead EA governance and stakeholder management mechanisms integral to overall IT and business demand management.
• Provide EA services and a ‘center of excellence‘ capability to progammes and projects.
• Execute medium and long term planning for internal EA capability, resourcing and tools required to meet business demand, IT complexity, vendor strategy, lifecycle management and procurement. • Manage internal and external / third party resources in the execution of EA and related initiatives.
• Execute impact and risk assessment for EA through the tracking, evaluation and analysis of industry / technology trends, business plans, BU technology demand / pipeline, end-user requirement and behaviors.
• Lead EA tool selection, adoption, roll-out and act as a change agent to drive adherence to process. • Deliver EA Quality Assurance and advisory to IT and BU stakeholders.
• Lead, develop, maintain and extend EA artifacts, documentation, maps, presentations and reference documentation, including where required managing internal and / or third party resources to execute
• Work collaboratively with technical and solution architects, information security practitioners, PMO, quality and BU service lead colleagues to ensure continuous alignment between architecture layers. • Deliver cross-functional EA leadership across IT and BU touch points, stakeholders and SME‘s.

Requirements

• Bachelor‘s or Master’s Degree in IT, MIS, IT Management or comparable technology / engineering discipline
• Technical qualifications for EA and Project / Programme Management
• 10 years+ industry experience, preferably handling Solution Architecture roles in complex organization(s), of which at least 3 years must be fulfilling IT Enterprise Architecture.
• Exposure and working familiarity with EA tools (e.g. ARIS, IBM Rational System Architect) and techniques / methods (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, UML)
• Client side lead consulting and advisory experience
• Experience and comfort in presenting and facilitating at senior management and CXO level
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), documentation and presentation skills.
• Excellent understanding of business and technology process, skills, organisations, stakeholder management, change management and critical success factors / Key performance metrics.
• Good understanding of ERP system architecture, solution and technical architecture components.
• Good knowledge and awareness on technology and IT vendor trends, directions and roadmaps.
• Hands on and self-starting capability to design, document and complete EA documentation.
• Strong ability to engage, converse, facilitate and manage meetings, workshops and governance forums.
• Familiarity with financial modeling techniques is desirable
