Job purpose

Operate standard motorised and diverse technical equipment in a safe and efficient manner in order to undertake manual and technical activities to support airside operations and customers' requirements. This includes but is not limited to loading and unloading baggage and cargo to and from systems, ULD, trucks, carts and aircraft.

In this role you will:

  • Follow all relevant customer service and airlines specific policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in line with regulations and SLAs
  • Follow all regulatory and IATA standards such as Regulated Agent 3, ISO, IOSA/ISAGO GDP/CEIV standards as directed by the supervisor
  • Follow day-to-day operations related to own job and be available on the assigned task in a timely manner
  • Discuss safety concerns openly and report them to the concerned team leader on shift
  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
  • Operate different ground support equipment (GSE) depending on the assigned area in line with the operating manuals based on the training qualifications
  • Inspect assigned ground support equipment to ensure serviceability and suitability
  • Assist in airside operations activities including sorting, loading and unloading baggage and cargo correctly (whether it is unitized or bulk) to and from systems, ULD, trucks, carts and aircraft
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are not in close proximity to the aircraft
  • Arrange dollies, trolleys, ULD in various locations to support staging, supply, or rotation as the operation demands
  • Provide marshalling and handling of dead-load to ensure smooth aircraft turnaround

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • High school (minimum of 10 years of schooling required)
  • 0-2 years of experience in ground support equipment
  • UAE driving license / GCC driving license
  • Basic communication skills
  • Basic safety awareness
